2-Tuff was the first Limited Mini Modified built and run by David Clancy & Roland Geilen.  Having assisted their cousins (Kevin and Murray Hynam) in the pits for a number of years, Dave and Roland decided that they would build a mini in 1992.

2-Tuff originally started with a modified Chevrolet 327 cubic inch V8 engine, and Turbo 350 transmission.  It took us almost a year to sort out a problem that turned out to be the one thing that we didn't replace or repair, the carburettor.  We had put a spread-bore carby onto a single plane and it wasn't until we were lent a square-bore carby that the motor finally ran properly resulting in a full pull on the first run.

2-Tuff currently runs a 350 Chev with a single Holley 700 carby and a PowerGlide Automatic Transmission with Ford 9" Differential.  It sure has come a long way since 1992, the most recent changes have included the full rollcage and aluminium heads for the engine.

The mini tractors generally dont use radiators or water pumps, nor do they have an alternator as this would add too much weight.  2-Tuff competes in the Limited Mini Modified class which starts at a maximum weight of 760kg for the tractor, including the driver.  The tractors pull a weight transfer device (sled) that transfers from rolling weight to dead weight and weighs between 2 and 6 tonne depending on the track conditions.

After sharing the drive for a number of years, the boys purchased another mini tractor called Wizz Banga.  Wizz Banga originally had a Turbo charged Holden 186, but had been converted to a 308 Holden at time of purchase.  Roland rebuilt the tractor and renamed it 2-Up.  2-Up ran for one season as a Limited Mini Modified Tractor featuring a Holden 308 V8 Engine with a GM Turbo 350 Automatic Gear Box and Toyota Stout Differential.

2-Up was retired in 1998 and a new mini modified tractor was built, finally completed in 2000.

AGRAV8 debuted at Tooradin in January this 2000.  Unfortunately, teething problems with the engine prevented any significant placing.  After plenty of tweaking, AgraV8 competed at the Quambatook Australian Championships at Easter 2002 and took out the Australian Championships 850Kg event and placing 3rd in the 95Kg.

Originally, AgraV8 ran a 327 Chevy V8 providing power to a Toyota Stout Differential via a custom built, Turbo Hydra 350 automatic transmission.  Only first gear is used.

Open Mini Modified do not have any restrictions on engine size or type, this also applies to transmissions and differentials.

In 2003, Roland obtained a 1996 LT4 Corvette 350 engine that has finally had the bugs worked out resulting in a 1st place in the 850Kg at Tintinara and rekindling the enthusiasm after having spent a year with the bugs.

Arriving just before Christmas, after travelling around the world the New Holland bonnet has certainly put a new look on AgraV8, and yes, the lights do work...

Special thanks to New Holland and Don Murray for supplying the bonnet (it's from a TC Series Boomer Tractor).

David would like to thank Beaurepaires Colac for their help with 2-Tuff and Roland would like to thank New Holland for the bonnet and their ongoing commitment to our sport.

Roland would also like to thank Barry and the team at Werribee Signs for their fantastic paint and sign writing work on AgraV8's trailer.  Shaun Byrne at ProConverters supplied a new hi-stall torque converter for AgraV8 and 2-Tuff which has made a significant difference to the performance.  Thanks Shaun.
